Type and version: CVAXSTAR 7.3P (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: SM
What were you trying to do?
use ezprint to preview an ez file, with the command:
ezprint -p foo
(now, "foo" didn't actually exist, 'cause I mis-typed the name.)
What's wrong:
When I did that, it said:
laika% ezprint -p foo
Can't open foo
Starting ezprint (Version 7.0, ATK 17.1); please wait...
usage: ezprint <-S PrinterName> <-troff> <-preview> <-stdin> < -o OutputFileName> <-v ScribeVersion> <-contents> <-zapafterprinting> <-Enumerate> <-IndexOnly> <-quiet> file
Maybe this isn't exactly a bug, but it took me a while to find the
"can't open" in all that junk. Why did ezprint try to start if it
couldn't find the file, anyway? I spent a while trying to figure out
if maybe the ahelp documentation was wrong, and I should have spelled
out the word "preview" (as it says to do in the "usage" message, yet
another moderately confusing inconsistency...) Then I finally stared
at the thing long enough to notice the "can't find."
What should have happened:
It should have quit after the "Can't open foo."
