[ still crashing through thickets of old mail ]
this message has pointers to three bugs / changes
1. the diff in /source [ unexplained? ]
2. the achilles removal request [ done? ]
3. the slip addition request [ not done? ]

mean any change to the sources (here at build time...)
could you look at paris:/source/config/common/named.*, please?

We aren't using the c.nyser.net host as a root server so no change needed
on this count. Please remove the lines with ACHILLES in them. We want
to eliminate dependance on this 750. This leaves three MIT.EDU servers.
Enlighten me, /source/4.3/etc/named.mit/named.ca is out of sync with
/source/config/common/named.ca . Am I unclear on the concept or is this
wrong?

ps. I had asked Win to enable the sl<n> (SLIP) devices in the kernel at
one time and was promised that same would happen. Is this still
planned? This is a low-no cost addition with high usefulness
potential. I would suggest configuring for 8 pseudo-devices. -rmh
