Thank you for your bug report.

In the future, when sending in a bug report, please use the "sendbug"
program.

Furthermore, in the future, before sending in a bug report, please
talk to the Athena consultants, by using olc, stopping by 11-115 or
calling x3-4435. They can help you to determine whether or not the
problem you are experiencing is actually a bug, and if not, how to
solve the problem.

In this case, what you are experiencing is not a bug, but rather an
idiosyncrasy of the Motif header files as provided by the OSF.

To avoid the problem, you should use the "-D_NO_PROTO" flag when
compiling your C files. Alterntavely, if you use the Imake
configuration files that come with Motif for generating Makefiles to
compile your Motif programs, this flag should be defined
automatically. Finally, I believe that you can also cause it to be
defined by including <Xm/VaSimple.h> in all of your source files.

Please talk to the Athena consultants if you have any more problems.
