Hi,
I am reporting this bug on behalf of a user who asked a
question in olc. I have encountered this same problem
(and so have other consultants.) It seems to be a random
bug, so it may be a bit hard to trace.

Type and version: CVAXSTAR 7.3P
Display type: SM
What were you trying to do?
Trying to run ispell in emacs on the RS6000
What's wrong:
when doing M-x ispell-buffer it gives an error
"timeout waiting for output"
Restarting emacs doesn't help.
What should have happened:
Ispell should have been started.
