I was just looking at the "No Warranty" provision in Emacs (what you get
if you type C-h C-w). The end of the file is corrupted with lots of
garbage. I seem to remember this problem a year or so back, but it was
fixed, as I faintly recall. Maybe every time they ship us a new
version, they ship some garbage along with it. Anyway, we should check
it out.
Also, we used to have our own custom message in the tutorial, something
like:
} You can quit this tutorial at any time by typing C-x k <RET>
That message is no longer in the tutorial. Now it says:
} Important note: to end the Emacs session, type C-x C-c. (Two characters.)
Do we just lose all the changes we've made to the built-in documentation
every time we get a new version? Do things just revert spontaneously?
