What were you trying to do?
restart twm by using the f.restart function from the twm menu.
What's wrong:
When I restart twm many times, about the third of fourth time in the row
the display just hangs. All the windows stay mapped. The cursor turns
into a watch and stays like this. I can still type in the windows, but
can't move any window around.
What should have happened:
it should have restarted just fine. i don't believe that the error is
in the .twmrc, since it works fine when i reboot the machine and log on
again. on the other hand, if there were an error in .twmrc, twm should
report it and not hang.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I cannot log on as root and kill twm because it doesn't seem to be
running. that's why i think the problem might be with the Xserver
instead. here a "ps -aux | sort" (i ran it as root)
