What were you trying to do?
	Use xfig on the RS/6000.

What's wrong:
There are text and bitmap problems in the lower left and upper
right corners of the xfig window. Blocks of shading are
displayed, rather than text, and the three rectangles
representing the mouse buttons are off-center.

I assumed when analyzing this problem that one of three things
is at fault: the RS/6000 X server, the way xfig compiles on
the RS/6000, or the Gray-Scale handling in xfig.

I eliminated the second possibility by running xfig from a
	VAXstation 3100, displayed on a Gray-Scale RS/6000. I
eliminated the third possibility by running xfig on a
DECstation 5000 with the X server started up with Gray-Scale
	the default.

I conclude, therefore, that the problem is almost certainly
	the RS/6000 X server.

What should have happened:
The xfig window should be displayed properly on the RS/6000.
