Subject: Your OLC question about "c"
- --------
Hi!
We're sorry that we couldn't get to your question while you were logged
in. You asked:
>> When running dbx on a file made by "gcc -g -o test testmain.c readin.c
>> struct.c", I get the message:
>>
>> .... ...dbx: internal error: reference through nil pointer on
>> line 121 of languages.c
>>
>> or similar (I'm not sure if I got the line number right --- I'm on dialu
>> and my terminal scrollback doesn't catch line lengths > 80 chars)

>> what does this mean? is this a bug in my program or in dbx itself?
>>
>> thanks
This really does sound like an internal dbx error (it is known that bugs
exist in it). You can forward this to bugs@athena to report the error,
but you'll have to try to work around it or use a different debugger for
now.
Sorry we can't be of more help. Thanks for using OLC!
