The *.sty files in the Athena tex macros diretory do not handle accented
characters very well with PostScript fonts. Your example will work if
you use times.sty from the sipb locker instead of timrom.sty and dvips
(also in the sipb locker) instead of dvi2ps. Send me mail if you need
more details.
