Actually, I was using "vi" not "emacs", so the bug is a lot more general
than one program tickling it (you added more into the subject than I
reported - the original subject was "Data coherency between machines").

Buffer management - I'd have to think about that one.  And what can we
expect with AIX 3.2, which has its virtual memory and context switching
entirely re-written, which suggests they may have also changed a lot
more things.

I guess the goal now is to try to come up with a way of reproducing this
problem.  I won't even be able to get Austin to act on it without a way
for them to reproduce it, but someone should probably call it in and see
if there is an APAR on a similar problem (if it is in /unix, a special
kernel will have to be ordered with all the apars that we have received
on it).
