What were you trying to do?
I started up dash to see how much override-redirect gunk it's doing.
What's wrong:
It seems to screw up the fonts. For example, the letter `g'
will not display in any of the menus. I do not have any dash X
resources, so whatever is there is the default. I do have
`*reverseVideo: on' and dash comes up in reverse video, but that's
probably not relevant. I am running vtwm.gamma. I moved the logout
button a bit, and the bitmap got munged.
What should have happened:
I can't tell offhand whether this is on X server problem or a
dash problem. It would be nice if the text in the dash menus didn't
look like a kidnapper's note.
