What were you trying to do?
Use emacs commands on command line in lineedit mode.
What's wrong:
Nothing, if the command fits onto one line. If it is longer, the
editing commands to not behave properly (actually, they do what they should
be, but the display is not updated properly). Try a >80 character command
line on a terminal with an 80-character line, and use ^A and ^E to see
what I mean. I happen to be on an HP terminal on a dial-up port, if that's
any help, but I don't think it's a terminal setup problem since regular emacs
works fine, even with wrapped-around lines.
What should have happened:
