System name: slingshot
Type and version:	CVAXSTAR 7.3P
Display type: SM

What were you trying to do?
I was trying to find out about the xset command from the manual pages. Under the options heading, when discussing the -display option, the page told me to see X(1).

What's wrong: typing man 1 X or man X 1 did not work

What should have happened:
I should have been able to see the manula pages about the xserver form section 1. (I know this because an OLC consultant tells me so)

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
The consultant told me that you are welcome to contact the faculty liasons if you want more information.

"Hey, you found a legitimate "bug". I can do "man 1 X" from here on the
RS/6000 I am using, but it looks like the VAXstation man pages are
not quite right. If you do:

   athena% man 1 Xserver

you will then get the information you are looking for.

Please use the "sendbug" command from the Athena prompt and send in
a report about this, so that it will get fixed. All you do is:

   athena% sendbug

and the program will help you compose a piece of email that will go
to the appropriate people and give them the information that they need.
Be sure to refer to the xset man page that you were initially looking
at, and you can also tell them to contact the faculty liaisons if they
want more information.

"

Bye!!
