In on-line help, users are instructed to type doswrite -i in order to
format their disks. However, read the passage quickly and you will
probably interpret it as saying to type this in order to READ your
disk! And the doswrite program prints nothing helpful, like "about to
destroy your disk"!! I think this is very bad ... it cost a user a
disk full of files this morning.

7 Using DOS disks
You can read DOS floppies from any IBM RT, VS2000, or VAXstation 3100
workstation, but not the VSII wokrstations (such as in 4-035). If you
have blank disks, you must first format them. This can be done either
on your own IBM PC or PS/2 home computer or, in the case of the 5-1/4"
floppies, on the IBM RT workstations. This is done in two steps:
/etc/fdformat -h /dev/rfd0
doswrite -i
