What were you trying to do?
I was trying to access Barton in the MIT libraries from this workstation. To do so, I went to the Dash menu, under special, and selected "Libraries"
What's wrong:
Although I was connected to Barton, none of the function keys worked appropriately, and I could never get past the second screen. No matter what I typed in, nothing would happen.
What should have happened:
The information I requested should have come up on the screen. (Or else, at the very beginning, a menu should have come up!!
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
olc_answers has some information under choice 14 (Networks). Once in that menu, choice 8 (How to access the MIT libraries) provided me with a solution. This solution involved a typed command at the athena prompt, and the resulting interface with Barton worked perfectly. It would, however, be much easier if the Dash menu could deal with the problem of accessing Barton, as I would then not have to remember what commands to type in.
