Hello.
I'm not a matlab expert, so please let me know if I've
misunderstood the problem.
I tried running matlab from dash on both the VAX and DECstation
architectures and it ran without problem. I tried using the gpp
function, by typing "!gpp", and it seemed to work fine, although, as I
mentioned, I don't know much about matlab... but it didn't say "gpp not
found", anyway.
I think the problem that you are running into is with "add".
The "add" command is only effective in the window in which it is typed,
or in the case of dash, in the window that is popped up on the screen by
dash. So as long as you type "!gpp" in the matlab window provided by
dash, you'll be fine. If you try and use gpp in another window, you'll
have to do "add matlab" in that window first, so that that window knows
where to find gpp as well.
I hope this helps. If I've misunderstood your problem, please
let me know.
Thanks,
