What were you trying to do?
Startup an emacs window with a file in it from the athena prompt.
What's wrong:
Ever since the new software release came out, the emacs window
comes up blank. When I hit the space bar, a single line (where the
cursor was) of my file appears. I can get the complete file by doing a
Ctl-x command like Ctl-x Ctl-f -- the file magically appears! (I'm not
positive but I suspect that this only occurs with word-processing files
like .mss or .tex. I don't think it happens with my .c files.)
What should have happened:
On the old software versions, the files were displayed in the
window as soon as it came up.

Note:
I realize this is not a major problem, but it is a nuisance and
I don't remember emacs ever behaving this way before.
