This is an indication that HADES.MIT.EDU was not updated to 7.3 and you
were in more than 8 groups. Hades appears to have been updated about
an hour after your message.
NFS sends over your group-list and user-id with each transaction. The
only extension that Athena made so that it can interoperate with vendor
implementations is to provide mapping capabilities and ignore the
client's notion of access. Unfortunately, our servers were not
complying with the NFS specifications and the newer vendor
implementations showed us that flaw. This is why each server is being
updated, and actually to be safe, each server needs to be updated to at
least 7.3N, if not 7.3P (because of another bug that was exhibited with
interactions with the RISC/6000 systems).
