What were you trying to do?
Read the contents of my console window.
What's wrong:
The text in it was horrendously garbled. Hiding the console
and showing it did not solve the problem. Doing
config_console (and therefore starting up a new console
process) did.
A window dump of the scrod console is in
/mit/jik/tmp/console.scrod.F (it is frozen; use fcat or melt
in the sipb locker to unfreeze it). Note that it's a window
dump from a color display, but I think it's only in
black-and-white, so I'm not sure if that'll be a problem.
What should have happened:
The text should not have been garbled.
