AIX 3.1 doesn't use UDP checksums for NFS client packets. It does use udp
checksums for some things (for example, the portmapper and the AFS bos
server). I don't know how it decides when to use checksums; it might depend
on whether the socket was created by the kernel or a user level program.
Someone with AIX 3.1 source access should check and find out how to turn on
UDP checksums for NFS.

I did most of this testing using a public configuration RS/6000 (splat) so
this probably matches what we have deployed.
