email pre-login option when over quota

At our field report tonight, one consultant reported this situation:
user is over quota
user chooses "yes, read my mail" from the pre-login check-email
session
user loses all mail from the PO server, but it doesn't appear in
her inbox
The user was over 7 days over quota, and on NFS.
The consultant didn't remember what kind of workstation.
I'm sorry I can't tell you more. You probably don't want to act on this,
but I thought I should mention it anyway.
