What were you trying to do?
use pts
What's wrong:
/bin/athena/pts on the RS/6000 is a symlink to
/afs/athena.mit.edu/system/afsuser/@sys/bin/pts, which is non-existent,
as there is no rs_aix31 subdirectory in afsuser.
What should have happened:
It should be a symlink to a real file. Also, I see no reason
why the binaries in the afsuser directory have to be as out of date as
they are. Updating them to the AFS 3.1 versions would be a good idea,
unless the 3.1 versions are demonstrably broken.

pts(1) (Which is there, even though the program is not.)
