What were you trying to do?
catman -w -M /mit/emacs/man 1
What's wrong:
The process spins its wheels and takes up a lot of CPU time,
after it has correctly built the database. The same thing happens when
generating new "cat" man pages (i.e., without the -w flag)---it does the
job, but seems to be spinning around.
What should have happened:
It should exit when it's done.
