What were you trying to do?
Something wrong.
What's wrong:
The machine didn't beep at me. Apparently, the default X bell percent
is now 0. I have completely custom dotfiles and call xset only once
<podge> ~% grep xset .??*
.xsession: /usr/bin/X11/xset m 7 2
I don't think this affects the bell.
What should have happened:
The bell percent should default to some reasonable non-zero value.
