This is w.r.t. the software in /afs/sipb/project/newdump, placed there
by richard.

Note the following output:

    backup> status
    Dump ID 1, volume 536872371, bytes transferred 5971400
    backup> status
    Dump ID 1, volume 536872371, bytes transferred 6069560
    backup> status
    Dump ID 1, volume 536872372, bytes transferred 6069560
    backup> status
    Dump ID 1, volume 536872372, bytes transferred 310840

It appears that between the time the volume finishes and the new
volume starts, there is a point when the bytes transferred number
isn't cleared.  I think that at some point, when the volid is set, the
bytes transferred should be set equal to 0.
