What were you trying to do?
I had remained logged in for a long time, on this computer
at work. Long enough for my kerberos tickets to have
been expired for some time. I was trying to save a file
in emacs.
What's wrong:
Although emacs reported no error, it did not save
the file. The only reason I noticed this was
that it didn't erase the ** found in the lower left
corner indicating that the file had changed.
Once I kinit'd and fsid -all, to reset my filesystem, I had
no further problem.
What should have happened:
It should have given me an error indicating that
the file hadn't been saved.
