newfs on an a partition of an rd53 produced the super-block info, then
said:
newfs: /usr/mdec/bootra not found
newfs -n (obviously) didn't produce this message, and I manually dd'ed
the boot blocks from /srvd/install, which worked.
there is a file
/usr/mdec/raboot... very suspicious...
