I think the 32 character limit on a hesiod string should be raised. This
makes it nearly impossible to use attach for subdirectories of the
traditional /mit/lockers/foobar type. (the machine name counts as well)
This seems to restrict use of a file system and further classification of
directories on a file server. For the olc-stock pointer, I got the first
letter of a top level subdirectory. (Had I known this would happen I would
have reduced the name size, oh well).
