What's wrong:
I get an 'Error in init file' error when the emacs window pops up.
This usually indicates just what it says, that you have an error in
your init file, i.e. your .emacs file.
If you have a .emacs file in your home directory, I suggest you load
it into emacs and see if you can figure out where the error is. If
you can't, I suggest you use "olc" to talk to an Athena consultant
about the problem. They will help you to determine what is wrong with
your .emacs file, or, if there is a bug in emacs, more details about
the bug report so that we have more to work with when attempting to
fix it.
It is usually a good idea to talk to Athena user consulting about a
problem you are having, either through "olc", or by calling x3-4435,
or by stopping by 11-115, before reporting the problem to "bugs".
