What were you trying to do?
What's wrong:
(I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but...) I mistyped
my username (extra space at the end), so I entered no password.
xlogin reported that the username was unknown and gave me another
login prompt. (Fine so far).
I typed my username and password and got logged in, but had no
tickets. Actually, it turns out that the file /tmp/tkt0 was created,
owned by me (not root), with a mod time of when I logged in. Clearly,
it xlogin just misnamed the file (that ticket file contained a tgt and
rcmd.steve-dallas (to verify the kerberos response, I s'pose).)
What should have happened:
The tickets should have been put in the right place. The KRBTKFILE
environment variable seems to have been set correctly.
