What were you trying to do?
Enter the media-lab afs cell.
What's wrong:
The cell is present, the servers are up, the kernal knows
about the cell, but its not there:

Doing an fs flushvol and then an fs newcell seems to fix the problem
temporarily, but I'd like to know if there is some other bug that
could be causing this. It is repeatable. Go to just about
any workstation and it will happen unless I've been there and fixed it.
What should have happened:
It should recognize the cell -- the kernal knows about it --
its in CellServDB, the servers are up and communicating! It should
work normally, like it would for any other cell that exists.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
ls, fs, vos, bos, afs, transarc... Probe took a look
at this for about 2 minutes the other day, but I'd thought I'd
report it to bugs anyways... I think its important. If it is happening
with the media-lab cell, whats to stop it from happening to the athena
cell?
