What were you trying to do?
This is independent of machine, etc.
All accounts that have been around for a while have the following
line included automatically in their .mh_profile; many people also add
it themselves:
rmmproc: /bin/athena/delete
I, and another user, was attempting to "refile" a draft file, at
either the "Disposition?" prompt, or the "What now?" prompt.
What's wrong:
The following error was returned:
> Disposition? refile +inbox
> delete: no files specified.
> Usage: delete [ options ] filename ...
> Options are:
> -r recursive
> -i interactive
> -f force
> -n noop
> -v verbose
> -e emulate rm/rmdir
> -F files only
> -D directories only
> -- end options and start filenames
> -r and -D are mutually exclusive
> -F and -D are mutually exclusive
>
> Disposition?
What should have happened:
Well, it would be nice if "delete" didn't return an error. The file
DOES get refiled, but the original draft does not get deleted.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I can think of none that would apply. Another consultant has
informed me that this is a known bug; if so, I would like to know if
some notice of its existence will be made, and possibly a mention of
how to work around it.
Thank you very much...
