Toxicwaste and jetsam are AFS fileservers, correct? If you set them
up as the AFS docs say to, you may have accidentally enabled xntp. If
this is the case, timed and xntp may be interfering with each other.
Another possibility is that the ethernet interrupt is interfering with
the clock tick interrupt. I know this was a problem with AFS servers;
I don't know if, when, or how it was fixed. What athena release are
toxicwaste and jetsam running?
In any case, the reason you are getting this message so often is that
your clocks really are drifting for some reason. AFS has been known
to be a cause of this in the past.
(jik: I know, I'm not QA, but I didn't know if you knew toxicwaste and
jetsam were AFS servers, and I think that might be very significant)
