What were you trying to do?
I was shuffling windows with twm - specifically I was pushing the
topmost window to the bottom of the stack by positioning the mouse
pointer in the top window, pressing the Meta key and clicking the
left mouse button.
What's wrong:
The window that next appears on the top of the stack is not considered
to be the active window, even though the mouse pointer is now in that
window. (This is really a hassle when you push an xterm under an
emacs, and you start typing in the emacs, only to discover that what
you are typing is actually appearing next to the athena% prompt in
the xterm underneath the emacs window.)
What should have happened:
The active window should be the one that now appears at the top of
the stack, after reshuffling - that is, it should be the one that
now has the mouse pointer in it.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I cant think of any.
