for the record.. afs caching lost on me.
Podge thinks that my "out" file is length 0:
1 -rw-rw-r-- 1 kkkken 0 Feb 7 03:46 out
athena-vax (e40-008-5) thinks that the same file has 6 bytes:
1 -rw-rw-r-- 1 kkkken 6 Feb 7 03:46 out
(I personally believe athena-vax, since that's the machine that wrote
the file.) The problem may have been caused by the fact that I am
writing the file with Clu, and I forgot to stream$close it the first
time.
How common is afs lossage?
