I have no idea why this happened. Here's the olc log extract, with username
expunged:

When I logged in, the console showed the following messages:
09:54 Starting mwm window manager...
09:55 Creating initial xterm window...
09:55 Creating logout button...
09:55 Running standard startup activities...
09:56 msgchk: unable to get information about user
09:56 Session initialization completed.
09:56 get_message: couldn't find username to send zephyr notice
When I type in "whoami," the system says "intruder alert."
I think somehow I am not considered a user in the athena database.
I tried to logout and then rlogin, but it did not work...
Machine info:
Processor: VAXstation 2000
Display : Monochrome VAXstation
Memory : 0x2c9400 user; 0x3fd000 (4 M) total

Hello!
It appears something strange happened when you logged in, and
the login process didn't quite work as it is supposed to. Does this
happen ever time you login?

It's the first time it happened.
I am using a different machine right now, and it works just fine.
I think it might be the vax2000 I was using that is not working properly.
