The problem you are experiencing is due to an NFS bug which we already
know about but which is, unfortunately, not easy to fix.

As for your question about sendbug -- sendbug doesn't use EDITOR
because sendbug uses mh, and mh doesn't use EDITOR. This, too, is
already known to us and is an outstanding bug, but it hasn't been
addressed because to do so means either (a) rewriting sendbug, which
no one seems to have the time to do properly, or (b) mucking with mh,
which is worse than walking on hot coals.

In any case, thanks for reporting the problem.

   Display type: SM

What were you trying to do?
respond to a message using xmh

   What's wrong:
several times now since my workstation went to 7.2, shortly after
clicking the "reply" button and before an editing window appears, this
   appears in the console

08:45 xmh: No such file or directory
   08:45 xmh: RenameAndCheck(/mit/gjackson/Mail/draft->/mit/gjackson/Mail/drafts/8) failed!
08:45 errno = 2; No such file or directory
   08:45 exiting.

and then the xmh window disappears leaving behind an "xmh exited with
error code [something]. Usually if I start a new xmh (from the dash
menu, as the original one was) I have no further trouble -- as I recall.

   What should have happened:
I should have gotten an editing window for my reply, and xmh shouldn't
   have abended.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
[Please replace this line with your information.]

BTW, how come sendbug always uses emacs, rather than follow the EDITOR
envariable as, say, xrn or olc do? Some of us HATE emacs....
