On logging in today I got the following:
09:53 Waiting for workstation to finish activating...
09:53 PRINTER: nil

.
I have a .hushlogin so I did not see the motd and such. There is no
indication that activation has finished. I have no feedback that the
machine activated correctly until something in my startup sends
something.
Perhaps something like:
09:53 Waiting for workstation to finish activating...done
could be implemented?
