Well, what happened was I was trying to use window's pull down menu to put
a scrollbar on an otherwise normal window. Then, the xterm would
disappear just as though I'd typed a ctrl D in the window.
The menu came up, I released it, then it crashed.
At the time, it was reliably reproducable i.e. I tried in four or five
times, and the xterms just kept crashing. I haven't tried it since,
however; If I get on one of the machines again, I'll try it again and
see what happens.
I have no clue which version of xterm I was using; as far as I know,
I was using the standard path and stuff. I do have my own xsession
file, however, so if the xsession files on the new machines are
different, it may have caused me to pull up the wrong xterm....
And that's all for now.... (if no one else has the problem,
feel free to forget it...)
