The behavior of hc described in note 46 should be considered a bug,
because one of the sample source files is perfectly legal ANSI C and
the other is not, and the compiler does not indicate any difference in
severity. (The idea of "quality of implementation" applies here, not
just strict adherence to the standard. I'd have to check and see
whether accepting the incorrect one is even a valid extension.)
I suppose the point is moot, since we won't get a version that fixes
it, but Metaware should be yelled at anyways. Unless they're doing
something really strange, this shouldn't be an RT-specific bug.
