Under some conditions -- I assume it's a connection timeout of some sort since
I'm not getting any other error messages -- emacs will exit with a zero status
and no error message.
Before emacs does this, I'm getting SLIP errors (too-big packets) reported by
my kernel on the non-Athena end, so I assume the packets are being discarded
or something...
