Also, the warning "Program may die ungracefully" is good, though
I'm still not sure what it means.
The X protocol (or, more accurately, the Inter-Client Communications
Conventions protocol) allows an X program (e.g. your window manager)
to tell an X client, "Hey, I want you to go away, so clean yourself up
and exit gracefully." Mwm attempts to send such a message to a client
when you try to kill it. If the message isn't acknowledged, mwm is
prepared to blow the process away without mercy, but before doing so,
it lets you know that the client didn't accept the request to die
gracefully and therefore may not clean up after itself.
I hope this helps. If you have more questions, please feel free to
use olc.
