I believe that saber looking for .saberinit in the current directory was
supposed to be a feature; that way, the .saberinit file could
automatically load whatever C files and libraries were needed to debug
the software package in the current directory.
Whether this was a good design decision or not is open to
interpretation. But the current behavior was intentionally put there.
