Our revised saber script is looking for .saberinit in the current
directory; it would probably be better to check in the home directory.
I've only checked RT6.0C for this, but I believe we're using the same
script in VS6.0C. Note that it will work mostly as it is, but it will
leave ".saberinit" turds in every directory it is used in (including
our source tree, which is why I discovered it). It won't work in
directories not writable by the user.
