What should have happened:
mkserv discuss should copy discussd and disserve to
/site/server/usr/etc and change the symlinks in /usr/etc.
It does, as far as I can tell. My workstation is a discuss server
with no discuss customizations other than "mkserv discuss", and both
discussd and disserve are local in /site/server/usr/etc (with /usr/etc
pointing to /site/server/usr/etc). I just ran mkserv discuss on a
clean 7.1H Vax, and when it was finished, discussd and disserve were
correctly made local.
Please try to figure out what makes your workstation different and get
back to us.
