xman segmentation violation

Trying to display the ms(7) manpage with xman causes it to quit with a
segmentation violation.  I was running this on a VS3100 so I'm pretty sure it
was not due to a memory problem.  The same thing occurs on a VSII.  Using man
(rather than xman) seems to work OK.
