First of all, xrn is supported by the SIPB, not by Project Athena.
Bug reports for it should be mailed to "bug-sipb", not to "bugs", i.e.
please don't use "sendbug". Either send mail directly to "bug-sipb",
or use the "Gripe" button from inside xrn, in order to send bug
reports to the correct place.

Second, since I am currently the maintainer of xrn for the SIPB (in
addition for working for Project Athena Quality Assurance, I can
deal with your bug report in any case. If you respond to this
message, please remove "bugs" from the CC list.

I use xrn regularly (every day), and I have never had the problem
you describe. When I save articles to a file, the info line in the
main xrn window either says what file they were saved to, or reports
why they were not saved. If you can duplicate this problem, please
try to describe for me the *exact* sequence of steps you use to
duplicate it, including the filenames you specify.
