An olc user tried to do a ps -aux on her workstation (w20-575-38) and
it failed with a bus error.  Presumably because it was out of memory:

Here's the pertinent log extracts:

What does it mean when I say "attach ***(some directory)***" and Athena
responds with

"Can't malloc while parsing attachtab
 Operation aborted"

I then sent her the stock answer on killin leftove processes, and it said:

Hey, it reads "Bus error" for the first (and only) entry under USER...

This is not a graceful failure.
