My normal window layout has an xload window at the lower right, with
an xscreensaver window in front of it, also at the lower right. If
I've had the screensaver locking the display for a while, I find that
the portion of the xload window corresponding to the height of the
screensaver window, and with a length corresponding to the amount of
time the screen was locked, is solid white.
Causing the xload process to redraw its window (such as by hiding the
window briefly) gets the correct contents repainted.
