I have just integrated the Dec '88 async driver into the RT kernel, plus
all subsequent patches, and it seems to work fine. All files can be
found in my private build tree (readable by source:read):
/afs/rel-eng/user/probe/src/sys/
The affected files are:
machine.rt_aos4/{autoconf.c,clock.c,machparam.h}
sys.rt_aos4/kern_clock.c
machineio.rt_aos4/asy{.c,reg.h}
conf/param.c
Btw, the UUCP submission I made a while ago still needs to be audited...
odie's connection to ibmsupt broke when I took the update... I have fixed
it again, but I am not going through another uucp build, so the next
update will kill our uucp connection until it is in the release sources.

(Btw, along with the uucp patches, are similar patches for tip; in fact,
I made it common to both vax & rt, so we will save some headaches if there
are future problems there).
